Since I visited Costa Rica with just a backpack and a pair of binoculars in 2010, I couldn’t wait to go back with my camera. The wildlife photography opportunities are unending. In December of 2016, that dream came true when my friend and fellow photographer, Amber Elliot, and I set off on our great Costa Rican adventure. Though one bird on our list eluded us, the Resplendent Quetzal, the number of birds we had the great experience of seeing and photographing is simply breathtaking. The avian diversity is astounding.
